The inspiration for this painting-

These roses are the first pick of roses from my new garden arranged in an onyx vase, with an embroidered cushion given to me by a dear friend, that reads “Over a bottle of wine many a friend is found”; an odd assortment of wine glasses and an onyx goblet; and a hidden bottle of wine are waiting at the end of the table runner for my friends to arrive. I can hardly wait! In the background is draped my velvety, burgundy coloured rug, which contrasts beautifully with the lighter toned roses, and the golden tones in the onyx vase, goblet, the table runner and the warm timber of the table.

Framed size 103.5 cm x 81.5 cm.

Beautifully framed with an inner bergundy-coloured matboard, a mottled gold fillet and an outer soft mottled cream/gold matboard, then a traditional soft gold frame.
